Puppy Group Class Training

Dogs under the age of fifteen weeks are more “wolf-like” than they will ever be. At this age, it is important to make the crucial adjustment to living with and answering to humans. Knowing how to blend obedience training that creates acceptable behaviors in the human realm with the natural instinctive responses of your young dog is crucial for the formal training to come. Our courses help establish socialization, build a strong training foundation, and help stop bad behaviors. At Taming the Wild, we help guide you through the critical first few months of your young dog’s life, teaching you the necessary knowledge and skills to help your puppy relationship start on the right path.

Our puppy group class will help your puppy learn valuable social and communication skills with both humans and other dogs and set them up for the formal training to come.

Behavioral Adjustment Programs

Unfortunately, over twenty percent of domestic dogs suffer from persistent, unsupportable fears, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and phobias. Some dogs can have aggressions over food, objects, and territories that result in attacks and unwanted behavior. In both cases, it requires a professional, experienced trainer to diagnose and restore the dog's behavior to a healthier mindset.

For both Reactive and Aggressive programs, we will need to meet with you either in person or online to evaluate your dog’s current condition in order to determine which program is best for your dog. To assist our experienced trainers with your dog’s evaluation, you will be asked to complete a Behavioral Assessment Form (BAF) after scheduling.

Our Behavioral Adjustment Programs utilize specific training to teach your dog how to manage fears and resolve conflicts with confidence and cooperativeness instead of flight or fight.
